Real estate photography packages explained: what each size includes
Real estate photography services compared by property size: what the $175, $200, $250, $325 and $425 packages include, what is never included, and how to choose when a property sits between two tiers.
Most real estate photography services are sold as a package, and the package name rarely tells you what you will actually receive. "Standard" and "premium" mean different things at different studios. At Dimension 360, the packages follow the property itself: its type, its size and the number of spaces to cover. This article explains what each one includes, what is deliberately left out, and how to decide when your listing sits between two tiers.
How the packages are built
Each package is defined by three things: the property type, the number of HDR photos delivered, and the delivery time. Every photo is shot on a tripod, merged from several exposures, and returned resized and named for Centris within 24 hours. The price is fixed for the property type, so you know the cost before the shoot.
The idea is simple: a 700 sq ft condo and a 3,800 sq ft house need very different amounts of coverage, so they should not cost the same, and they should not deliver the same number of images. Forty photos of a condo bury the buyer; twenty-five photos of a large house leave them guessing.
Condo: $175, 25 photos
The condo package covers the entrance, the living area, the kitchen, the bedrooms, the bathrooms and the balcony or view. A condo with building amenities (lobby, gym, pool) is a variation with a few extra photos to cover them. Because the space is compact, the work is about angles and light rather than volume. We explore that in our article on photographing a Montreal condo.
Best for: condos, lofts and small apartments.
Single-storey home: $200, 35 photos
A bungalow with no basement has more rooms than a condo but fewer levels than a house. Thirty-five photos cover the facade, the main living spaces, each bedroom and the yard.
Best for: single-storey homes with no second floor and no finished basement.
Regular house: $250, 40 photos
This is the most-ordered package. It covers a two-storey home, or a bungalow with a basement, under 2,600 sq ft. Forty photos allow a full walk-through: facade, entrance, living areas, kitchen, each bedroom, bathrooms, basement and yard.
Best for: the typical family house, cottage or split-level.
Large house: $325, 60 photos
From about 2,600 to 3,500 sq ft, the number of rooms, hallways and angles goes up quickly. Sixty photos make it possible to show each space properly, including secondary rooms such as a home office, a laundry room or a second family room.
Best for: large family homes and properties with several living areas.
Prestige: $425, 90 photos
Over 3,500 sq ft, or when the property has outbuildings, a large yard or high-end finishes, the prestige package delivers 90 photos. The extra images let you tell the story of the property in sequence. We cover when this tier is justified in our article on photographing a luxury property.
Best for: large or high-end properties, estates and homes where every space is a selling point.
Exterior only: $85
When the interior is not the point (a house under construction, a heavily occupied property, a quick refresh of the facade), the exterior-only option covers the yard and the front.
What is not included, on purpose
A package is only useful if you know where it stops. These services are always separate:
- Drone: 10 aerial photos for $110, offered from condo to prestige. It is never part of a photo package.
- Video: $275, $375, $550 or $770 depending on property size. Only the $770 prestige video includes drone footage, animation and four AI-generated shots.
- 2D floor plan: $50, $100 or $150 depending on size.
- Extras per photo: virtual twilight $35, object removal $35, virtual staging $30.
- Same-day delivery: $110.
Travel is also separate. It is free in 39 municipalities, a flat $50 in the extended zone, and $1.25 per kilometre beyond that.
Any image that is virtually furnished or significantly retouched should be labelled in the listing, in line with the OACIQ's rules on accurate representation.
Other property types
Not every listing fits a size-based package:
- Plex or multi-unit: each unit is documented separately, so the first unit is $175 and each additional unit is $110.
- Land: a land package is offered at $195 or $275, built around aerial and ground photos.
- Commercial: $385 for commercial properties.
We compare residential and income properties in our article on visual strategies by property type.
When a property sits between two tiers
The common borderline cases are a 2,500 to 2,700 sq ft house (regular or large?) and a 3,400 to 3,600 sq ft house (large or prestige?). Three questions settle most of them:
- How many distinct spaces are there? Eleven rooms and a basement point to the larger tier; eight rooms point to the smaller one, even at the same square footage.
- What does the listing need to show? If a heated garage, a pool and a guest suite are selling points, you need the images to show them.
- Is it a showcase listing? For an estate or a high-profile property, the larger tier is rarely a regret.
Square footage on your Centris sheet is the reference point. If you are still unsure, the estimator shows the price for the address before you commit.
Three examples
A 900 sq ft condo: $175 package + $50 floor plan = $225.
A 2,200 sq ft house with a yard worth showing: $250 package + $110 drone photos + $100 floor plan = $460.
A 4,000 sq ft prestige home: $425 package + $110 drone photos + $150 floor plan = $685, before video.

In summary
Package, drone, plan and extras are separate decisions, and each one has a fixed price. Match the package to the property type and size, add only the extras that solve a real problem, and let the estimator confirm the total. The booking flow and the site are available in both French and English.
